Profiltech GmbH Stufenbandprofile has constructed an ultra-modern new build in Remchingen, comprising office space, a production hall, and integrated logistics facilities. The site is configured for maximum energy efficiency – including a heat pump, heat recovery, and a 230 kWp photovoltaic system, enabling virtually carbon-neutral operations. The building infrastructure was intentionally designed for future-readiness and sustainable operational reliability, including a state-of-the-art drinking water installation.
The new build houses extensive pipe networks across a variety of plumbing units, from the office space to production. The primary challenge was to make sure the good drinking water quality remained consistent at all times, while simultaneously maximising potential energy efficiencies. Among other requirements, a system was needed that reliably and sustainably counteracts stagnation, (e.g., in areas that are not regularly used). Furthermore, it was critical to prevent internal heat sources from causing impermissibly high temperatures, particularly within the cold water system.
